Colorado Sparkler Tournament 2012
You’ll Have a Ball!
The 2012 Triple Crown Sparkler girls fastpitch tournament in Colorado begins June 25 and runs through July 3. The Colorado Sparkler softball tournament is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity you won’t want to miss! Thousands of players will convene in Denver, Aurora, and neighboring cities in northern Colorado to showcase their talents in front of college coaches from all over the country.
This year marks the 10th year of the Triple Crown Sparkler tournament. It’s a mega event headquartered at the Christopher Fields Softball Complex in Westminster, Colorado – one of the finest four-field complexes in the country. Throughout the course of the tournament, various events are also hosted at facilities in Aurora and Denver and other cities throughout northern Colorado.
Showcase All-Star Games
One of the highlights of the Colorado Sparkler 2012 tournament will again be the Showcase All-Star Games. The Showcase All-Star Games begin on Monday, June 25 and end on Wednesday, June 27, at the Christopher Complex in Westminster.
All-American Games
College coaches will select the top performers from the Showcase All-Star Games to play in the All-American games held on the evening of June 28 at the Christopher Complex. The All-American games simulate a Major League Baseball All-Star festival, with an expected 10,000 fans watching the best of the best throughout these events.
Battle of the Best
The Colorado Sparkler tournament will once again team up with the Fireworks tournament in which the champions from both tournaments are pitted against each other. This “Battle of the Best” showdown will be televised in a doubleheader like none other in youth fastpitch.
All-Academic Games
This year there will also be three All-Academic games. The players in these games qualified bydemonstrating a cumulative grade pointaverage of 3.8, an ACT score of 28 or above, or class rank in the top 15 percent.
Sparkler/Fireworks Pro Player Clinics
In addition to all these exciting tournaments, Triple Crown is hosting the third annual Colorado Sparkler/Fireworks Pro Player Clinics from June 25 to June 28, 2012. While the student athletes are in the Denver area for the Sparkler tournaments, they are afforded the unique opportunity of learning from the best in their sport in a very intimate setting. The clinics are designed to give high school players the tools to prepare their game for the next level – college softball.
You won’t find a better venue for college coaches to discover upcoming talent and for students to improve skills, make friends, experience memorable competition, and participate in a premier showcase tournament.
